Web design for expats running a business in Spain

You moved here, you started something, and it works. What does not work is the part nobody warned you about: the domain is registered in somebody else's name, the hosting invoice arrives in Spanish, the person who built the site stopped answering, and every Spanish customer who searched for what you do found somebody else.

We build and run websites for foreign business owners in Spain, entirely in English. Not a Spanish agency with an English page — the whole relationship in English: the quote, the questions, the monthly report, the awkward call to the hosting company when something breaks at nine on a Friday.

We are based on the southern Costa Blanca, in the Vega Baja, which is where most of this country's foreign-run small businesses actually are. That matters more than it sounds. Someone in Madrid can build you a website. They cannot tell you that in Quesada English is the search language and Spanish is open ground, or that in Torrevieja the map listing decides the call before your website is ever opened.

And the prices are for the businesses that really exist here. A bar, a salon, a plumber, a small agency. Sites start at €490, not at several thousand, because the several-thousand quote is the reason most expat businesses on this coast still have no website at all.

What's included

Everything in English, including the Spanish part

You deal with us in English. We deal with the registrar, the hosting company and the suppliers in Spanish. You never have to have that conversation.

The domain goes in your name

Not ours, not the designer's. It is the single most common trap here — people discover on the day they want to leave that they cannot take the site with them.

Genuinely bilingual, not translated

Two written versions, each aimed at how that customer actually searches, linked so Google indexes both. A translate widget does nothing: Google never sees that version.

The Google listing first

For local searches Google puts three business listings above every website. A complete verified listing brings calls in weeks; a new site takes months. We start where it is fastest.

Fixed price, agreed in writing

From €490, quoted in full before anything begins. No permanencia, no renewal surprise in year two, and you can cancel and keep everything.

Paid online, contracted properly

Payment online and a written contract, so you can hire us from anywhere without a bank appointment or a trip to a notary.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need to speak Spanish to work with you?

No. Everything on our side happens in English. The Spanish side — the domain registry, hosting, invoices, any supplier — is ours to handle. That is most of what people are actually buying.

My customers are all British. Do I need a Spanish version?

Usually yes, and the reason is easy to miss: your customers are British partly because your website only speaks English. The Spanish searches never reached you, so those customers never called, so they are not in your numbers. You cannot measure a market you are invisible to. Often one well-written Spanish page is enough.

How much does it actually cost?

A one-page site from €490. A full bilingual site with basic SEO from €890. Bookings, menus or a catalogue from €1,690. Domain and hosting are separate, in your name, roughly €60 to €100 a year. The quote is fixed before we start.

Can you take over a website somebody else built?

Usually. The first thing we check is whose name the domain is in, because in this area it is very often the previous designer's. Until that is fixed, nothing else is really yours.

How do I pay if I am not in Spain?

Online, against a written contract. Nothing requires you to be here, so we work with owners who are still in the UK, Ireland or the Netherlands and have not moved over yet.

How long before it brings me customers?

The Google listing can bring calls within weeks. The website is slower — first enquiries usually between month three and month six, longer on a brand-new domain. Anyone promising faster than that is selling you something.

Do you only work on the Costa Blanca?

The website and SEO are done online, so location makes no difference — we work with businesses anywhere in Spain and outside it. Only the physical work, photography and 360º tours, is limited to the Vega Baja and wherever we happen to be.

What if I want to leave?

You take the domain, the website and the Google listing, because they were in your name the whole time. No notice period and no exit fee. It is a low bar, and it is worth checking against whoever you are comparing us with.
