How to list your business on Apple Maps

On iPhones, the default map is Apple Maps, not Google. How to get listed for free.

·3 min read·Leer en español

Anyone with an iPhone who asks Siri or searches the phone's map is using Apple Maps. If your business is missing or has old details there, you are giving those people the wrong hours or losing them.

How to get listed

  • Go to Apple Business Connect with an Apple account. It is free.
  • Search for your business: Apple may already have a listing built from other sources.
  • Claim it, or create it if it does not exist.
  • Verify that you own it. Apple offers several ways, such as a call to the business phone or documents.

What to fill in

  • Name, address and phone, exactly as on Google.
  • Opening hours, including holidays.
  • Category.
  • Photos of the premises and your logo.
  • A link to your website and, if you have one, a booking or ordering button.

If Apple already has old details

Claim the existing listing instead of creating a second one. Two listings for the same business confuse customers.

Bing Places while you are at it

Bing Places can import your details from your Google listing, so it takes a few minutes. Bing is used less, but its data reaches other services and it is one more place with your correct details.

Common questions

Is it worth it if I am already on Google?

Yes. It is free, it takes an afternoon, and on the coast many customers use iPhones.

Do I need a Spanish company to register?

No. You need an Apple account and a real business with an address or service area you can verify.
